About Us

Ocean Memorial is a private company whose mission is to make it easier for families to bury their loved ones at sea. The company was founded by two sailing and boating enthusiasts who were first asked to perform this service as a favor. Though few similar services exist, those that do seem to charge unecessarily high prices and are operated in a way that makes it difficult to determine their credibility. A founding principle of Ocean Memorial is to make every aspect of our business verifiable - we've even gone to the unusual length of having our procedures audited by an independent accountant whose job it is to make sure we are complying with the high standards we have set out for ourselves.
